What We Believe

Statement of Faith

God | There is one True God, eternally existing in three persons Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the Lord of the universe and creator of Heaven and earth and all things. (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 18:18; John 1: 1-3, 18: Acts 5:3, 4)

God : The Son Jesus Christ is God's only Son, who became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth through Mary. He voluntarily atoned for the sins of men by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead on the third day, and He ascended bodily into heaven.

He promised to come back again and will meet believers in the air. He is the only mediator between God and man. And He alone is the Savior of men, the Head of the church. (Matt. 1:18-25; Luke 1:30-37; 24:36-43; John 1:1, 14; 10:17, 18; 20:24-29; Acts 1:9-11; Rom. 3:24-26; I Cor. 15:4, 14-20; II Cor. 5:21; Eph. 1:20: Phil. 2:6-11; Col. 2:9; I Tim 2:5; Heb. 7:24, 25; I Pet. 3:18; I John 2:1, 2; 3:5; 4:10)

God: The Spirit The Holy Spirit is the comforter sent by God. He came to convict sinners and draw them to Christ. The Spirit dwells in the heart of those who believe and empowers them to understand & obey God’s truth. (John 3:5-8; 14:16-26; 16:7-15; Rom. 8:2-4, 9; I Cor. 6:19; Gal. 3:2, 3; 5:16-25; Eph. 1:13, 14; 5:18; Titus 3:5)

Scripture | All Scripture - the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament - are given by the plenary inspiration of God. The whole Bible is uniquely, verbally and fully inspired in the sense that holy men of God were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of Scripture. Fully inspired by the Holy Spirit means that it was written without error (inerrant) in the original manuscripts.

As God's infallible written Word, the Bible is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks. It is the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the Divine and final authority for all Christian's faith, life and practice. (Mark 13:11; Luke 24:27, 44; John 5:39; Acts 1:16; 17:2-3; 18:28; 26:22-23; 28:23; Rom. 15:4; I Cor.2:13; 10:11)

Mankind | Man was originally created in the image of God. But he (Adam) sinned by disobeying God; thus, he was alienated from his Creator and became a sinner. He must believe in Jesus Christ as the sole means of forgiveness to be righteous. (Rom 3:22-23; Eph 2:1-3, 8-10).

Salvation | Whoever believes in Jesus Christ as God’s only Son who came in the flesh and submits to Him will receive eternal life. Those who do not believe, will receive eternal judgment. (John 1:12, 13; Rom. 3:21-26; 8:14-17; 9:30-33; Gal. 3:11-14, 22-24; Eph. 2:8-10; I Thes. 1:5; I John 5:9-13)

The Church | The church is the body of Christ, of which He is the head. She is composed of all believers, cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ by faith. God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for edification through the Scriptures and for mutual encouragement. (Acts 2:41, 42; 20:7; Eph. 1:22, 23; 4:11-16; 5:23-32; Col. 1:18; I Thes. 4:13-18; I Tim. 4:13; II Tim 3:16-4:2; Heb. 10:23-25)
