On Grace Village
You never want to look into the eyes of a woman in crisis and say, “I’m sorry. We don’t have room for you.” Nearly every day Cityteam had to do just that as they were faced with limited capacity. Thankfully, God led them to a new facility, literally right next door to their ministry building, where over four times—400% more women, children and families can live safely with healthy food and childcare while we work together to transform their lives. This is the spirit and substance of His grace. This is Grace Village.
Responding to the Urgent Need
Grace Village is expanding CityTeam’s services to address the critical unmet needs of women and children in our community, including:
•Community housing to support women and mothers with children as they become self-sufficient
•A housing safety net to help the estimated 43,000 Santa Clara families at risk of eviction due to COVID-related unemployment and lost income
•Faith-based program providing spiritual comfort for women and children in crisis
•Transitional supportive housing for women and children
•A safe home for victims of domestic violence
•Licensed affordable childcare and after school programs for school-aged children
The Calling
Good neighbors like you are stepping up in a very special way to empower families of our community who are hurting most. Together, we're led to help provide them a better life. CityTeam has purchased 50 apartment units next door to their House of Grace. These future homes are one and two bedroom apartments, each with a kitchen and family room. Now, the local community is coming together to make a bigger difference for families with nowhere to go. These transitional homes for women and children are a powerful way to put our faith in action and lift up our neighborhood. But they urgently need your help.
